Got Our Kicks on Route 66
In 2015 I sensed God release me from my role as Children’s Pastor at Madison Park Church. Garrett was graduating from Anderson University and Mariah was graduating high school and making her way to Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. In July of 2015, Kevin and I set out on an adventure and moved to Scottsdale Arizona.
In the past 22 years, I have had the opportunity to serve at 5 amazing churches in 4 states. There has been good times and challenging times. I have grown more in my faith journey these past 10 years than my lifetime. I have learned what it means to totally surrender and to trust God in ALL THINGS. I believe the work that God has done in me has been preparation for what he is going to do through me in this next season of ministry.
I will be joining the team at Catalyst Church in Pendleton, Indiana as the Executive Pastor. I believe the last 10 years have prepared me for such a time as this.
And Then There’s Kevin
Six months before moving to Florida, I began praying a very specific prayer for Kevin. I prayed daily for God to open a door where Kevin could use his gifts and talents to share God’s Word. One month after we moved to West Palm, God opened that door for a content creator at OneHope. OneHope has reached over 2 billion children with the Gospel Message since it’s humble beginning in 1988. They have a goal to reach another 2 billion by 2033. His role has shifted a little since he started, he is now working on a brand new Communications team. We are so thankful he will be able to keep his position and work remotely.
And I Can Breathe in a Small Town
Yes. We are coming home. We are beyond excited to be near family and friends again. I will begin my new role March 1. Kevin will pack the moving truck and be up the third week of March. I’ll see you at Catalyst, and Falls Park/Falls Perk soon.
